Publishers Weekly liked our Kingdom Riders book! Marcus Anthony To, Monster Forge, IDW Publishing, AndWorld Design

“Denton (Monster Born) and To (Marvel’s Voices) balance bracing action sequences with quieter world- and character-building moments that showcase unique fantasy creatures, intriguing political machinations, and an eclectic human and alien population rendered in various skin tones, some fanciful.”

School Library Journal’s Stellar Panels features our Kingdom Riders book!

School Library Journal‘s Stellar Panels did a piece called Eight Fantasy-Focused Graphic Novels with our book Kingdom Riders as a feature! Marcus Anthony To, Monster Forge, IDW Publishing, AndWorld Design

“The world of the story is filled with colorful characters and magical creatures, and the action is leavened with slapstick humor. The streamlined drawings and carefully laid out panels add to the sense of action but also slow the pace for more contemplative moments.”

Our next Monster Forge book is Kingdom Riders from IDW Publishing! Created by Shannon Eric Denton & Marcus To. We’re super proud of this one and can’t wait for everyone to meet Kayla and her crew.

“Race through an exciting and dangerous fantasy world on the back of a toad in this wildly original combination of Hunger Games and Amulet.

Kayla is a peasant who cares little about the world outside her town or the wildly popular Kingdom Races. That is, until her best friend, Mal, finds herself in trouble and Kayla must enter as a rider to save her. But the prize for winning this series of races is more than Kayla could ever imagine. With control of the entire kingdom at stake, Kayla finds herself thrust into political intrigue and lurking danger.

Readers follow Kayla as she adventures into the wider world while putting her own life on the line for her friends, both old and new. No one has ever even finished the Kingdom Races. Will Kayla be the first?”
